Since 1972, Yetter Insurance Agency has been helping individuals,
families, and businesses protect what matters most to them.
But more than 50 years later, what we’re proudest of isn’t the
number of policies we’ve written.
It’s the relationships we’ve built along the way.
We’re a second-generation, family-owned independent insurance
agency serving Milford, Pike County, and the surrounding
communities. We’ve watched families grow, businesses open their
doors, children become drivers, first houses become forever
homes, and longtime clients enter entirely new chapters of life.
Through all of it, we’ve remained right here.
Because this isn’t simply where we do business.
When Greg Yetter opened Yetter Insurance Agency in 1972, he built the business around a simple idea: take care of people.
Listen before you recommend.
Explain things honestly.
Be there when someone needs help.
And treat every client with the same care you’d want for your own family.
Those values shaped the agency from the beginning, passed from one client relationship to the next and eventually from one generation to another.
Sherie grew up watching her father build those relationships one handshake at a time. Around the dinner table and during long days at the office, she learned that insurance was never really about policies and premiums.
It was about people.
The young family buying their first home.
The business owner protecting years of hard work.
The parents handing their teenager the car keys for the first time.
The neighbor who simply needed someone to explain what all those pages in an insurance policy actually meant.
Today, Sherie leads Yetter Insurance Agency with those same values at its heart.
The agency has grown. Insurance has changed. Technology has certainly changed.
But the promise hasn’t.
We’re your neighbors.
You’ll see us at the grocery store, at church, supporting local organizations, volunteering in the community, and raising our families alongside yours.
That connection changes the way we approach insurance.
We understand this community because we experience it, too. We know the homes, businesses, roads, weather, families, and rhythms of life here.
And when you call Yetter Insurance, you’re not calling a distant customer service center.
You’re calling people who know your name, understand your story, and genuinely care about what happens next
Insurance is personal.
We think the people helping you with it should be, too.

SPECIALTY: Business Insurance + Agency Leadership
In 1972, Yetter Insurance Agency opened its doors with a simple mission: to help families and businesses throughout the region protect what mattered most to them.
More than fifty years later, that mission still guides everything the agency does, and it’s one Sherie has carried with her since she was old enough to understand what her father did for a living.
Sherie grew up watching her father, Greg, build relationships one handshake at a time. Insurance, she learned early, was never really about policies and premiums. It was about people.
It was the young family buying their first home, the local business owner protecting their life’s work, or the neighbor down the road who simply needed someone to explain things in plain English.
Greg passed down more than a profession. He passed down the values behind it: honesty, patience, and genuine care for the people you serve.
Today, as President of Yetter Insurance Agency, Sherie carries that legacy forward.
She’s spent her career deeply immersed in business insurance, helping local business owners navigate coverage decisions that can feel complicated and high-stakes. But her approach remains personal: listen first, understand what someone is trying to protect, and then help them find the right path forward.
Running a family business is its own kind of story, one written through day-to-day decisions, long-standing client relationships, and the quiet pride that comes from continuing something meaningful.
For Sherie, that story is still being written more than five decades after her father first opened the agency’s doors.
Outside the office, Sherie and her husband share a love of travel and treasure time spent with their adult children. She’s an avid reader and devoted book collector who rarely goes anywhere without something to read. She’s also fascinated by American history and genealogy, often piecing together the stories of families and generations past.
Perhaps fittingly, generations and the stories connecting them are also at the heart of the legacy she’s continuing at Yetter Insurance.
Ask Jeff about the agency, and the conversation rarely stays there for long — it tends to wander into local history, old family trees, or a story about some Pennsylvania town most people have never heard of. That curiosity is really at the heart of who he is. Jeff has a deep love of history and genealogy, and that same patience and attention to detail carries over into the way he takes care of Yetter Insurance clients. Just as he’ll spend hours tracing a family line through old records, he’ll take the time to dig into a client’s policy, ask the right questions, and ensure nothing gets overlooked. It’s a mindset built on curiosity and care — and it shows in the thoroughness he brings to every account he manages.
Jeff’s roots at Yetter Insurance go back to 2002, when his father-in-law, Greg, invited him to join the team. What started as a family opportunity has grown into a genuine passion for helping people protect what matters most, and Jeff has been a steady, trusted presence at the agency ever since. Clients who work with Jeff quickly find someone who listens first, explains things clearly, and treats their coverage like it’s his own family’s.
At the end of the day, though, family matters most to Jeff. As a husband and father of two sons, he understands firsthand how important it is to protect what people have built and to have peace of mind at home — and that’s exactly what he works to give his clients every day. He also stays active in the community, volunteering at his local church and serving on the local Young Life committee, where he helps support and mentor the area’s young people.
When he’s not at the agency, you’ll likely find Jeff planning the next family getaway to Lancaster, PA or Winter Harbor, ME — two favorite destinations for the Schoch family. He loves wandering antique shops in search of a hidden find, strolling through garden shops, and visiting local farms, soaking in the slower pace and simple charm of Pennsylvania Dutch country or the rugged outdoors of rural Maine. It’s the kind of trip that lets him indulge his love of history and tradition while making memories with the people he loves most.
Whether he’s tracing another branch of the family tree, mentoring a young person through Young Life, or spending a Saturday exploring Lancaster’s farms and shops with his family, Jeff brings the same steady, thoughtful presence to everything he does. That same quality is what clients notice most when they work with him — a genuine sense that he’s in their corner, paying attention to the details, and looking out for what matters most.
Jeff’s approach to insurance is the same as his approach to everything else: thoughtful, thorough, and rooted in genuine care for the people around him.
SPECIALTY: Home + Auto Insurance | Life Insurance
My name is Robert Wayne McCoy. Please feel free to call me Bob when we meet. Since I have walked through the doors of Yetter Insurance it has been my pleasure to get to know the people that believe in Yetter Insurance as much as I do. It has been a privilege to get to know many of the people we serve, to help during the bad times and the good. I am here to assist with your personal auto, your home policies or life protection to make certain your families are prepared for every contingency. In the insurance industry it is often easy to forget that the people we meet, the hands we shake, and even in the troubles shared, that all of us have lives beyond the moments of purchasing a new home, or adding a young son or daughter to their auto policy or helping clean up when a tree falls in their yard. It is important to remember that all of us have families and stories that carry us forward on the journey.
That said let me introduce myself.
I was born in Baltimore City and lived in Maryland until approaching thirty years of age. I moved to New York, Orange County specifically to be with my wife who was from the area. She and I have lived in the area for over twenty-five years and raised two children who are both engaging in college pursuits. I am an avid martial artist, I enjoy many books in my home library, and I am a published writer having written short stories and several novels. It is my passion to look at the world and express what I see in prose, to find the human condition and report on it in my fashion.
This quality, I believe, allows me to see the needs and visions of each person that walks through the Yetter doorway.
I feel my personal goals allows me that something extra. I envision and feel what people need in the business of insurance and the business of living. I say this in confidence because the business of insurance is more than numbers, prices and coverage; it is the business of each person. The need and comfort of knowing that you have protected yourself and family is the most important feeling I can offer when you and I meet.
Make an appointment. Pull up a chair and be comfortable. Lets share life for a little while.
SPECIALTY: Customer Service |
Billing + Account Assistance | Scheduling
If you’ve called Yetter Insurance Agency or stopped by the office since September 2025, chances are Theresa Coleman was the one who greeted you. She’s the first friendly voice on the phone and the first face in the doorway — and behind the scenes, she’s the one keeping billing, accounting, and the agency’s calendar running smoothly.
Theresa didn’t start out in insurance. She got her start in administrative work as an H.R. Benefits Clerk for Pike County, where she learned the ropes of employee enrollments, plan changes, and onboarding paperwork — the kind of detail-oriented work that doesn’t leave much room for error. From there, she moved into customer service, fielding a steady stream of calls as a reservations agent for Kittatinny Canoes, booking river trips and campsites for guests across Pennsylvania and New York. By the time she joined Yetter, she’d already built a knack for staying organized under pressure while still making people feel taken care of.
That instinct for leadership and care shows up outside the office too. A mom of three, Theresa knows firsthand what it means to juggle a lot and still show up for people. She currently leads a worship team of 6 to 10 people at her church, and for years before that, she ran the church’s children’s ministry — scheduling volunteers, training staff, and shaping curriculum for kids from nursery age through middle school. It’s the same steady hand she brings to the front office at Yetter: someone people can count on to keep things moving and to genuinely listen along the way.
Music has been a constant thread through it all. Theresa has played piano for more than 40 years, alongside guitar and flute, and holds a B.S. from Nyack College. Whether she’s answering a billing question or getting you on the calendar, her warmth and reliability are what make her such a trusted first point of contact for Yetter’s clients.
Buying a home? Adding a vehicle? Reviewing your current personal insurance coverage?
Starting a family, reviewing existing life insurance, or thinking about how to better protect the people who depend on you?
Need help with billing, paperwork, scheduling, or figuring out who you need to speak with?
That’s completely fine.
Insurance doesn’t always fit neatly into a button. Tell us what you need, and we’ll connect you with the right person.
Part of the Community We Protect.
Being local means more to us than having an office in Milford.
It means showing up.
It means supporting the organizations doing good work here. Volunteering through our churches. Mentoring young people. Supporting local businesses. Raising families. Running into clients around town and having conversations that have absolutely nothing to do with insurance.
Those relationships matter.
They’re why we’ve been able to serve generations of families for more than 50 years, and they’re why we still believe personal relationships have a place in an increasingly impersonal world.
We aren’t simply serving a market.
Whether you’re looking for new insurance coverage, reviewing policies you’ve had for years, navigating a change in your life or business, or simply have a question, we’d be happy to talk.
You don’t need to know exactly
what you need before you call.
That’s our job.
